Vintage Silk Garden Black Kimono

Vintage Silk Garden Black Kimono

Why We Love It

Bamboo, pine, maple and chrysanthemum are all evoked across the golden fields of this charming garden scene, all set against a background reminiscent of the setting sun.

As with most kurotomesode kimono, you can find five kamon (crests) on this kimono: the symbol of the Mimura clan from from the mountainous Shinano province, which once straddled the Japanese Alps.
